2006 Scout for Food: Troop 57 Collects Over Two Tons!

Troop 57 was founded May 31, 1933 and was originally chartered in the old Stanford Area Council (as such, Troop 57 is one of the oldest units in that Council). Troop 57 has been meeting continuously for 65 years and is currently sponsored by the Parents of '57. The alumni of Troop 57 include many community leaders. We are often one of the largest troops in the Council and always one of the most enthusiastic.
Scouts join Troop 57 to learn scouting skills, including first aid, outdoor activities and leadership skills, to be part of a group with similar interests and to have fun. Along the way, we manage to inject a spirit of good citizenship, a sense of helping others, some varied leadership experiences and a feeling of being part of a larger community.
We meet on Wednesday evenings in the Scout Hall at the Pacific Skyline Council Palo Alto Scout Service Center at the corner of Melville Avenue and Middlefield Road in Palo Alto (see map). This is commonly known as the Scout House.
We meet as a troop at least twice a month from September to June, as well as in patrol meetings every other Wednesday, and at selected times over the summer months. We welcome scouts from all parts of Palo Alto. If you are interested in joining, contact the Scoutmaster listed on the Scoutmaster's page, or better yet, come to our next meeting!
